We learn songs that move and inspire move us, in the hope that we can harness the power of music to help others. Song suggestions from band members are encouraged and collaboration on arrangements is just part of who we are!

Our bands are made up predominantly of teenagers who already play music at a good level. We have a number of bands and ensembles that play at charity events and community functions around Sydney.

We are growing and welcome new members! We rehearse weekly, but we occasionally have a few extra rehearsals in the lead up to a concert.

If you are a singer, guitarist, pianist, bass player or string player, we would love to chat with you about joining one of our groups. We can also incorporate the occasional woodwind/brass player, so please reach out to chat if this is you!

So long as you are at least 12 years old and are approximately AMEB Grade 4 standard or above, we would love to have you join us.*

*This is just a guide for the level of musical ability you will need; you don't need to have done any music exams. You just need to be able to comfortably sing or play the songs we perform.

“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.”
The late, great singer Aretha Franklin

“Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.”
elton John, who says we should never be afraid of saying three simple words: “I need help.”

“Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears – it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more – it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury, but a necessity.”
Oliver Sacks, best-selling author and professor of neurology at NYU School Of Medicine

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
bob marley (1945-1981)
